DISPENSARY, MEDICINE, AND NATIVE ARTS
Welcome to Four Winds Medicine Lodge. We honor the Royal Proclamation of 1763, which reserved lands west of Quebec for Native peoples.
This led to treaties like the Toronto Purchase, Dish with One Spoon, Two Row Wampum, Oneida Belt, and Williams Treaty, despite their breaches. Since colonization, we lacked the right to develop a viable economy on isolated lands. Now, with Section 25 of the Charter and the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, change is underway. Historically, hunting and fishing sustained us, but these resources are now depleted.
Today, fair trade within our nation is essential.
We source most of our goods from Canada but face challenges to economic autonomy, including taxation,
penalties, and competition from corporate monopolies.
Support our business as we work toward economic fairness, fostering a thriving and inclusive community.
We acknowledge that this is the traditional territory of the Wyandot, Haudenosaunee, and Anishinabek peoples. All are welcome here—Native and non-Native alike—to trade freely and without discrimination.
